We are excited to introduce the District 31 Family Engagement Handbook, a resource designed to help families discover meaningful ways to connect, participate, and get involved throughout the school year at both Winkelman Elementary School and Field Middle School.

The handbook brings together PTO activities, District 31 events, volunteer opportunities, family programs, and other ways to engage with our schools and community. It is designed to help families plan ahead, find opportunities that are meaningful to them, and become active participants in the District 31 experience.

As the school year unfolds, new opportunities may arise, and additional events and activities may be added, so we encourage families to check back regularly and stay connected with your school and the District.

This handbook was created by the District 31 Family Engagement Committee, whose mission is to empower and encourage families to be active partners in supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional learning and to foster family involvement within the District 31 community. We are grateful to the members of the Family Engagement Committee for their time, ideas, and commitment to building strong connections between our families, schools, and community.
